How to Create Your SEMA Rewards Account: Sign Up, Confirm and Verify

A SEMA Rewards account is free, and getting one takes a few minutes. Signing up is only half of it, though: before you can submit a clip, the social account you post from has to be verified. Most new creators stop before that step, so this guide covers both, in the order you will meet them.

Step 1: Open the sign-up page

Go to Create Account. That page signs you up as a creator.

Got a link from a friend? Use their link instead. Their referral code comes in with it, and the form shows "You were referred with code" and the code. There is no box to type a code into, so the link is the only way it reaches us.

Step 2: Choose how to sign up

There are two ways, and both give you the same account.

With Discord or Google. Tap Continue with Discord or Continue with Google and approve it. There is no password to make up and no confirmation email to wait for: you go straight in.

With your email. Fill in the form:

• Username: 3 to 30 characters, using only letters, numbers and underscores (_). No spaces or dots.
• Email: an inbox you can open now, since the confirmation link goes there.
• Password: at least 8 characters, with at least one letter and one number.
• Confirm password: the same password again.

Tick the box to agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, then tap Create account.

Step 3: Confirm your email

If you signed up with your email, the next screen says Confirm your email. Open the email we sent and tap the link in it. If it is not in your inbox after a minute or two, check your spam and promotions folders. Still nothing? Tap Send the confirmation email again on that screen.

Once your email is confirmed, tap Go to sign in and sign in with your email and password. If you forget your password later, Forgot password? on the sign-in page sends you a link to set a new one.

Step 4: Answer a few questions

The first time you sign in, a short questionnaire opens. It cannot be skipped, and it only asks once:

1. Where did you hear about us?
2. What kind of creator are you? Clipper, UGC creator, streamer, editor, or just getting started.
3. What is your niche? Pick every topic you like making content about.
4. Where are you based? Country, province and city. Brands pick creators by region, and some campaigns are local.

The last screen lists our community: the daily class on Discord, where you can learn to clip and have a clip looked at, plus the WhatsApp group, the Telegram channel and our socials. Join the ones you want, then tap Find Campaigns and Start Earning. That takes you to Start here.

Step 5: Verify the account you post from

This is the step that matters most, and the one most new creators skip. Without a verified account you cannot submit a clip. Campaigns pay for the views on your own account, and verifying proves the account is yours, so we can count its views and pay you for them.

Verifying means putting a short code in your profile bio for a minute. You can do it in the first mission on Start here, or any time under Settings > Account, in Connected accounts:

1. Pick the platform you post on. TikTok, Instagram and YouTube are the most common; Threads, Facebook and X can be verified too.
2. Paste your profile link or type your username, then tap Connect & verify. You get a short code, valid for 30 minutes.
3. Copy the code into your bio and save it. Your profile bio, not a post's caption.
4. Wait about 30 seconds, then come back and tap Check.

When the code is found, the account shows as Verified and clips posted from it can be submitted. You can take the code out of your bio afterwards.

A few things that trip people up:

• The account has to be public. A private account has no bio we can read. On TikTok, the account also needs at least one public post.
• Check the profile we read. If the code is not found, the screen shows the bio we read and from which account. We read the username, not the display name, so if it is the wrong account, tap Wrong profile link? Change it.
• You have five checks per code. If none of them finds it, checking pauses for a while and the screen tells you when you can try again. Save the bio and wait the 30 seconds before you check, so you do not use them up.
• Verify every account you post from. A clip can only be submitted from a verified account, so if you post on TikTok and Instagram, verify both. You can verify more than one account on the same platform.
