Meet Zeys: the world champion coach who founded SEMA Rewards
If you follow Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, you probably know the name Zeys. He coached EVOS Legends to the world title in 2019, and he is the founder of SEMA Rewards.
This article introduces the person behind the platform: where he comes from, what he won, and why he started a platform that pays creators for their views.
Who is Zeys?
Zeys is Bjorn Ong, from Singapore. He played other MOBA games competitively before he moved behind the desk, and in 2019 he began coaching Mobile Legends. Over the next six years he became one of the most successful coaches the game has had.
A career measured in trophies
- M1 World Championship, 2019. With EVOS Legends, he won the first Mobile Legends world championship.
- IESF World Esports Championship, 2022. He coached the Indonesian national team to the title in Bali.
- MPL titles in three leagues. MPL Indonesia in Season 4 (2019) and Season 7 (2021) with EVOS Legends, MPL MY/SG in Season 4, and MPL Singapore in Season 9 (2025) with Team Flash.
That last title came at the end of a comeback. After nearly three years away from competitive MLBB, Zeys returned in 2025 to coach Team Flash, announcing it as "For Singapore, 1 season, the last run." He meant it. After Team Flash's run at MSC 2025, part of the Esports World Cup in Riyadh, he retired from competitive play in July 2025, saying he would now put his time into building his own dreams.
Why he started SEMA Rewards
Zeys is also a content creator and streamer, and his fans started clipping him: they cut moments from his streams into short videos and posted them on their own accounts. He saw the impact those clips had. They carried his streams to people who would never have found them otherwise.
His fans wanted more than that. While he was live, viewers would ask in chat whether there were any job openings, and his team did hire clippers to help edit their videos.
SEMA Rewards grew out of that. "We wanted to give back to the fans," Zeys says. The people already clipping the creators they love should be paid for the views they bring in, and a fan asking for work should find some.
That is how the platform works today. Brands and agencies fund campaigns, creators make short videos and post them on their own accounts, and every view counts toward what they earn.
It works a bit like a scoreboard. The rules are on the page before you start: every campaign shows its rate, its minimum views and its brief up front. Views are tracked for you, and pay follows the result, not your follower count.
And it has come full circle: clippers on SEMA Rewards now cut and post Zeys's own content, the same way they do for Mobile Legends, Todak and DEANKT.
What this means for you
You do not need to be a pro player or a big account. If you already clip your favourite streamer or MLBB matches for fun, you are already doing the work SEMA Rewards pays for.
