How is my campaign budget paid and spent?
You pay it in before the campaign goes live. SEMA holds it, and it is spent only when a creator’s claim is approved.
- Paid in before launch. A campaign goes live only once its budget is paid in. A funding fee comes off what you pay, and we go through it with you before you pay.
- Held by SEMA. The money sits in SEMA's account at Xendit, our payment provider.
- Spent on approved claims only. Your budget is drawn down when a creator's claim is approved, not when views are counted.
- Never more than you funded. When what is left cannot cover a whole claim, part of it can be approved, and the rest is not owed later.
- Top up any time. When the budget runs out, creators stop earning from the campaign and claims wait until it is topped up. Ask our team to add budget to keep it running.
